Word of The Day

It’s OK to ENJOY YOUR Life

I’m sitting here at Taco Mac….WRITING! I went to Taco Mac with a friend on Sunday and because the Falcons won the game they gave me a FREE coupon (I LOVE FREE FOOD) to come back and get 6 wings for FREE (Did I mention FREE) within a week. Tonight before I left home I second guessed going to Taco Mac by myself. But then I STOPPED myself and thought…..it’s FRIDAY night; why should I sit in the house just because I’m SINGLE?!? With chapter 35 of my life beginning in less than 2 weeks…I’m doing things TOTALLY DIFFERENT. If I want to go to a restaurant to eat…..I WILL!! Nothing is going to STOP me from enjoying MY life! The wings were FREE but I knew that there would be a charge for the French fries. I got my bill and the TOTAL was $0.42!! The server was gracious enough NOT to charge me for the fries or the up charge for all flat piece wings. God is SO AMAZING! Even when I’m all alone he lets me know that he is with me and I feel his LOVE. In Philippians 4:7 it says, “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” Wherever God has you is where he wants you to be at the moment. TRUST HIM and BE HAPPY!

I’m THANKFUL

Today is THANKFUL THURSDAY! It’s also the first day of my FAVORITE month of the year……DECEMBER!! I’m so thankful that God brought me through 2016 and now I’m staring at 2017. December is always an exciting month for me because I celebrate my birthday on the 14th, Jesus’ birthday on the 25th, and I always end the year with a BANG on the 31st. This has been an eventful week full of highs and even some lows, but I’m THANKFUL that I’m alive and well to experience ALL of it! What are you thankful for today?

I’m Stepping OUT Of My Comfort Zone

Today I did something that I have NEVER EVER done!!! I have had a taste for a bacon cheeseburger from Vortex for WEEKS now and last night it hit me so HARD that I knew that TODAY that I would have to RUN to Vortex. As the morning rolled on and it got close to 1:00 my stomach started to growl and I was ready to DIVE into a burger! I went back and forth a few times about if I should call a friend to accompany me to Vortex —- but I decided that I needed time alone. So, guess what I did? I went to Vortex in Little Five Points, Atlanta ALL BY MYSELF. I have NEVER EVER went to a restaurant by myself and requested a table for one and sat down to eat. I played with my phone while I waited 20 minutes for my food to come out. I felt GREAT too! I wasn’t embarrassed or ashamed about being alone either. I have decided to step out of my comfort zone……NOW! I’m not going to wait until January 1, 2017 to make changes…..I’m making them NOW!! I now NO LONGER will miss out on ANYTHING that I want to do for fear of doing it alone. This is my time to SHINE and ENOY life! Me, myself and I! The bacon cheeseburger and french fries were sooooo DELICIOUS!! Don’t let anything or anyone stop you from ENJOYING your life! You only have 1 life to live…..you might as well ENJOY it!!

WORD OF THE DAY: TRUST

Last night, Holy Spirit dropped this scripture into my spirit and I want to share it. Proverbs 3:5-7 (MSG), “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all.”

This scripture BLESSED my SOCKS OFF!! I was STRESSING about a situation/circumstance and Holy Spirit encouraged me to just TRUST GOD. The definition of the word trust is, “reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence; confident expectation of something; hope.” Many of us like to be in control of EVERYTHING! The wonderful thing about having a Heavenly father who loves us is that we don’t have to be in control over everything. We can take all of the weights and burdens of life and give them to him. He is our Father, he loves us, he WANTS to take care of things for us. 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV) says, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

When you were a child did you worry about where you were going to live? Did you worry about what you were going to eat? NO! Why not? Because you had parents who you KNEW were going to take care of you. The same trust that we had as children for our natural parents, we should have for our Heavenly Father. He created the heavens and the earth, SURELY he can take care of YOU!!! When the devil sends negative thoughts or discouragement, tell him that he is a LIAR and that your FATHER in HEAVEN LOVES you and is taking GREAT care of you! Matthew 7:11 (NLT) says, “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” God KNOWS how to shower us with GREAT things! TRUST HIM!

No matter how it looks…..TRUST GOD! I PROMISE you that he will NEVER EVER let you down!

Fred Hammond has a wonderful song titled, “I Will Trust,” which I KNOW will bless you!! Listen!!!

WORD OF THE DAY

Today’s word of the day is coming from Philippians 1:6 (AMP) which says, “I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].” The place that you are at today is NOT the place that you will be at tomorrow. God has GREAT things in store for your life and you can COUNT on the fact that he WILL perform it before the day of his return. It’s easy to allow discouragement to set in when you feel like God is not moving on your time table.  2 Peter 3:8 (NLT) says, “But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.” Be strong, stay in faith and meditate on God’s word and TRUST the fact that God WILL finish what he has started in your life.
