HAPPY MONDAY!! This morning I read my scripture reading and it just so happened that I ended up reading one of my FAVORITE stories. In Acts 12:1-17, King Herod threw Peter in prison because he was a Christian. A lot of the persecution that we go through in our everyday lives is because of what we stand for. When you stand for Christ, the enemy will send attacks your way. BE PREPARED! While Peter was in prison the saints were praying CONSTANTLY. When you’re going through a tough time, do you have a friend that you can depend on? Do you have someone who will pray you through your storm opposed to talking about you and taking joy in your pain? If you don’t, FIND friends who will STAND with you in prayer and fasting when life becomes hard. Because of the consistent prayer of the saints, God sent an angel and rescued Peter OUT of prison. Peter was in AMAZEMENT at how God rescued him. When we are going through tough times we have to believe that God LOVES us and that He will ALWAYS make a way of ESCAPE for us. Trouble does NOT last always. This testimony of Peter is so encouraging because it lets me know that PRAYER CHANGES THINGS and that God ALWAYS takes care of his own.
